Message to help those who face difficulties

Message to help those who face difficulties

In the days of ignorance, moral ineptitude was at its nadir.  Mutual relations were strained.  Hurting each other had become custom.  The desire revenge had crossed all limits.  In such a barbaric society, the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) taught people to care for each other and be sympathetic.  As is mentioned in Sahih Muslim:

Translation: It is narrated on the authority of Hadhrat Abu Hurairah (May Allah be well pleased with him), he said that the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) said:  The person who removes any trivial difficulty from a believer, Allah Most High will remove the great difficulty from that person.  The person who conveniences a needy person, Allah Most High will create conveniences for that person in this world and the next.  The person who conceals the sins of a Muslim, Allah Most High will conceal his sins in this world and the hereafter.  Allah Most High keeps specially helping a slave as long as he keeps helping his brother.  (Sahih Muslim, Hadith No. 7028)

The Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) instructed us to help the helpless and to provide succor to the defenseless.  He also gave glad tidings of reward on doing so.  There is a Hadith:

Translation: It is narrated on the authority of Hadhrat Abu Hurairah (May Allah be well pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) said:  The person who strives to provide succor to the widows and the poor and the needy is like the one striving in the path of Allah.  The narrator says: I think the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) also said:  That person is like that worshipper who stands in prayer all night and never tires and like that fasting person who fasts unceasingly.  (Sahih Bukhari, Hadith No. 6007; Sahih Muslim, Hadith No. 2982)
